In reference to Miss McLeish, whó until
recently was nursing a patient in the Peak Hospital, and who as
I informed you by telephone left the hospital without giving
any indication of her leaving, either on the evening of 13th.
or early morning of 14th. instant, I think that you should know
that though patients have naturally been diffident in formulating
definite complaints against Miss McLeish, yet with two separate
patients she has failed to give satisfaction.
In one case,
I requested liss Ncheish to
pay a visit to a lady for whom she was engaged for accouchement,
and after the interview, the lady wrote to me stating that she
hoped I could arrange for her to have another nurse an after
her interview with Miss McLeish she could not entrust herself
to that nurse's care in her confinement.
Ianother case Miss McLeish was constantly,
as explained to me by the lady patient (maternity case), ex-
-pressing her dislike and disgust for nursing maternity cases,
and very considerably upset my patient who was very sensitive
about not giving any extra trouble to her nurse.
These are two out of the four cases nursed
for me personally,
In my opinion liss McLeish showed great want
of tact in her dealing with her private patients. I make no
complaint about her purely nursing duties which so far as I saw
them were carried out well.
Yours faithfully,
(Sa.) Oswald Harriott.
